The agitation of the students sitting on strike at the Commission’s office demanding the conduct of UPPSC’s PCS and RO ARO examinations on one day continued for the third day on Wednesday. Officials talked to the students. At present the students are adamant on their demands. The candidates remained sitting on the road throughout the night. The police also remained alert. Candidates have been sleeping on the road for two days. Even on the third day, apart from the roadside and dividers, the candidates remained lying at the gate of the Commission as night fell. Showed solidarity by lighting mobile torches and raised voice against the commission.

For the first time in the history of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), there is a movement for two examinations simultaneously. Candidates have opened a front against holding the PCS and RO/ARO preliminary examination for two days and implementing normalization.

While 1076004 candidates have applied for the RO/ARO Preliminary Examination-2023 proposed on 22nd and 23rd December, 576154 candidates have applied for the PCS Preliminary Examination-2024 proposed on 7th and 8th December. Among these, there are many candidates who have applied for both the examinations. The candidates of both these examinations have now united, because no candidate wants the examination to be conducted over two days and normalization to be implemented.
